Linoprints

I enjoy creating Lino Print art due to its striking black and white design and high contrast. I have practiced Black and White photography for years, and I used to develop and print my own pictures. I draw on that experience of balancing contrasts to choose where to leave blanks and marks. Carving the designs demands considerable patience, and each print is unique based on the ink and paper used. I sometimes enhance my prints with color using watercolors and pens to highlight important details.

The "Hobbies" collection started from carving a linocut for each of the creative streams I have enjoyed over the years; from playing the piano since I was 6 yrs old until now; to developing and printing my own B&W photography when I was at Uni and sewing my wedding dress a few years ago. Arts and crafts has always been a great way to unwind during the the evening and weekend. I will be adding more to the list over the coming months. I have a few ideas already (cycling, playing tennis... and more which I don't practice myself). I'm always open to new ideas.
